I was in a fender bender, rear ending a truck in my Mazda 3. The collision cause minor damage to the Ram1500 rear bumper, but because I tried turning to dodge it, it broke it my headlight, scrunched my hood, and the driver door doesn't open well. Basically, the car was mine. Title under my dad's name until 4 months ago. Now under mine. The car is insured by my dad. I was not on the insurance. Since the car has been towed to the shop, the insurance company has opened an investigation to straighten things out. They are wondering if it is under my name, and my dad's insurance, why I was driving it and not on the plan. My brother thinks they are trying not to pay for the damage, I'm just hoping they will. My friend and I are having an argument. He believes that you can keep a fake insurance card in your car that looks legitimate and the police will not be able to check the information with the insurance company to verify that you actually have insurance, if they pull you over. I thanked the guy and said that we do not wish to extend the insurance and I am only waiting for the 2years of NBC. He said ok and I thought it was sorted. We went on holiday abroad on 21st of May and got back on the 7th of June and imagine my surprise when in the post I have found the letter from insurance company with the certificate of insurance enclosed and them thanking me for deciding to stay with them and saying that my monthly instalment is 130 pounds!!! (because apparently i decided not to the the brakedown cover that i had before!!!!) I decided to call them first thing in the morning, but befor I did it i checked my account and of course they have already debited it with 130 pounds. I called them and the woman there explained that they were never informed of not extending the policy and that of course they have it registered that i phoned on the 6th of may with questions but they called me and left a message on my voicemail and apparently i never rang them back. She explained that all I have to do is to send the certificate of motor insurance back and then i will get the money. So i did. Once they got it they rang me saying that now they want the proof of selling/scrapping the car, WHY???I do not think it is any of their business. Especially that as far as I am concerned I am not cancelling the policy , I never wanted it. It is all their fault they did not listen. Can I do something about it, I have also got the funny feeling they are not going to give me full refund that they are gonna come up with something.

I am currently shopping around for individual health insurance and just wondered if anyone had any helpful info in regards to different companies. Who do you currently have health/dental/vision/life insurance through? I have been looking at Blue Cross Blue Shield but I'm just not sure. I am engaged and will eventually want to add my future spouse, therefore needing a family plan. I know this will vary depending on what type of coverage we want and what we are willing to spend. I do not have a very large budget for all of this but do know it's important. Trying to find the best deal out there for an affordable price. Thanks for any helpful advice! :)

Insurance companies messed up!?!?

Over three years ago, a pick-up truck crushed the entire back-side of my van. Of course, it wasn't my fault and I took care of the situation by calling the truck driver's insurance company. However, when I was going through my auto insurance profile, I saw something weird, a driving history stating that I was at-fault for that accident three years ago.
